The adventures of bouncing Boris

Our little Basset Hound Boris is now just over 4 months old. He has doubled in weight and is growing longer every day. At this puppy stage he is such a delight to watch as he discovers the world around him. He is playful and mischievous and his energy knows no bounds.  He has learnt that he can bark (quite a lot) and that those long velvety ears of his are really quite useful – like a true Basset he can pick up a scent from a mile off. Each walk is an adventure as he bounces around the neighbourhood picking up new admirers along the way. And just being at home offers ample opportunity to play tug of war with a tea towel,  gaze longingly at the oven waiting for some tasty nibble or disappear into the garden to wreak havoc amongst the plants.

When we lost our first Basset Hound Oscar back in November 2015 I wasn’t really sure I wanted another dog.  Losing Oscar was quite traumatic  as he was my very first pet and I was worried I wouldn’t feel the same about another dog.  But, when I met Boris for the first time, I knew it was meant to be. I can honestly say he has brought so much joy and laughter into our lives already and I hope we will embark on many more adventures together in the years to come.
