The amazing weather continues here in Northern Ireland. In fact, I can’t remember the last time the sun shone for so long with so little rain ! It is almost beginning to feel like the norm. With the prolonged period of sunny weather, plants around the garden have burst into bloom. After what was a long, wet and soggy winter, it does the soul good to see that these perennials have made it through to summer and are rewarding us now with their beautiful colours and delicate leaves. From a distance these flowers are tiny – it’s only when you get up close and personal that their true beauty is revealed. It’s a great source of inspiration, not only to keep on gardening, but also to step back for a moment and take time to enjoy the garden at its best.
