March has been such a busy month. I can’t believe we have already reached the 28th day and soon we will be into April. My time has been absorbed getting back into the usual work routine and that in itself takes quite a lot of energy as work can be demanding and it sometimes feels relentless. Thankfully the month has also been filled with some joyful little moments…
Moments such as…
Discovering Boris the basset has learned to open the washing machine…perhaps not so much joyful when you walk into the kitchen to discover all your newly washed clothes are in his bed, but admittedly entertaining (for a while at least!)
Enjoying the beautiful sunsets we have had in recent days..amazing for March really as the weekend just past it felt more like May.
Reading ‘My Heart Wanders’ by Pia Jane Bijkerk. Described as ‘ a celebration of taking risks, letting go and making a home wherever you are’, this is the story of Pia leaving her old life behind in Australia to go and live in Paris with a man she barely knows. With beautiful photographs throughout and written from the heart, it makes for a soulful and inspiring read..the sort of book I would love to write myself. (I bought it secondhand through Amazon)
Sowing Sweet Pea seeds …I have six little pots lined up on the windowsill and they have already started to germinate. It will be great to plant them out when the weather is warmer and enjoy their lovely fragrance.
Celebrating mum and dad’s 52nd wedding anniversary…with tea, cake and lots of laughter. This is a picture of them back in the day. Don’t they look great ?
Relaxing at night with Neom Essential Sleep Kit…readers of this blog of mine will know I have been struggling to get a good night’s sleep. I bought this to see if it might help. The set consists of a pillow mist, body oil and a sleep balm, made from nineteen essential oils including English lavender, sweet basil and jasmine. Although I wouldn’t say this would guarantee a good night’s sleep, it does smell divine and it’s very relaxing. I have even found myself using the balm during the day at work if I am feeling stressed !
Making friends with a cat…who stayed just long enough to be photographed. A fleeting friendship sadly as Boris rules the roost at home and cats would not be welcome !!
Well, that’s my March so far. What have you been up to this month? Feel free to share your comments as always.
