Hello. How are you ? I hope everyone is coping as best they can with this lockdown. It’s been a strange, unsettling Easter, for sure, at a time when most of us would typically head out for a short break somewhere, enjoy Easter lunch with family and do DIY around our homes.
I must admit, it was with some relief I finished work the day before Good Friday. A number of people were furloughed on health grounds, some have needed to self isolate due to family members having contracted Covid 19 and with many others working from home, that leaves a smaller team on site. Social distancing has become easier as a result but it presents other challenges too – i.e, how to actually get product out to customers. It’s been encouraging, though, to see everyone work as a team and spirits remain good overall. Whether that continues or not when we return to work tomorrow remains to be seen.
So, for me, spending a week at home has been very welcome. And blessed with beautiful weather, I’ve spent my days in the garden , ticking off tasks that have been on the to-do list forever while Boris soaks up the sun and the kids next door bounce around happily on their trampoline. As much as possible, I’ve tried to seek out beauty, positivity and light where I can because, like many of you, I find the news simply overwhelming. I appreciate that may sound a little cliched, but it’s at times like these that the so called ‘little things’ are more important than ever.
So, for now, I’ll just share a few pictures from around my little garden – the cherry blossom has started to appear and the alpines look as pretty as ever. I do apologise if it seems like Typewriter Girl is turning into a gardening blog, but at the moment, this girl is very grateful for her garden.
Stay safe x
Paula

Glad to read all is well with you in lockdown. We are fives weeks confined to home now – the gate is locked and we haven’t been out. The garden is a blessing at the moment.
Best wishes and stay safe.

Totally agree…I really do feel sorry for those who don’t have a little green space of their own. Lots of parks are closed too and in this good weather, it must be tough indoors. Hopefully there will be light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Hi Andrea..yes I’m finding work quite intense as it’s condensed into 4 days so I try to get out into the garden most evenings. Hope you are doing ok.
