And in the blink of an eye, September is already at an end. 30 days that simply passed too quickly and here we are again at the beginning of a new month. So, for a few seconds at least, I’d like to hit the pause button and savour some lovely moments from September for just a little while longer.
September moments like these…
The beautiful colours of pink and gold as Japanese anemones and rudbeckia flowered through the month. Japanese anemones are late summer flowers and always so lovely to photograph, particularly when they are back lit by the morning sun.

Moments from September – the first leaves slowly turning brown and crisp. It will be a while yet before everything turns golden. September itself, I find, is a lovely combination of gold and green.

That wonderful warm September light seeping through the tree canopy, gently illuminating the leaves and revealing hidden details.

And finding beauty in unexpected places, like this wild carrot sitting in dappled light. Wild carrot is another very photogenic flower with its lace like texture and umbellifer shape. In the photograph below, I managed to position myself underneath the flower so I could capture it as it looked up towards the September sun.

Well, that’s just a little snapshot of my favourite moments from September. It’s a month I always enjoy for its warm colours, beautiful light and mellow vibes. Did you have any special moments in September ? Feel free to share your thoughts below as it’s always good to hear what you have been up to.
Thanks for stopping by. And, in the meantime, enjoy the rest of your week and have a lovely October.

I loved that more than half of it was actually warm and sunny ( but not too hot!) which was perfect for me. Spent some days at the caravan and visited Amsterdam. So it was a good month! Your photos are lovely as ever. 🙂 X
And how was Amsterdam? I’ve been with work a few times but never actually managed to see any of it !
Really beautiful. All those bridges and bicycles and wibbly wobbly houses, you’d love it there with your camera. X
Beautiful pics.
Thank you (and sorry for the late reply !)
No problem. Looking forward to more readings on your site.
Thank you 🙂
Gorgeous photos 😍
Thank you (and sorry for the late reply. It’s been a mad week or so !)
Lovely, I agree September passed so quickly that it’s good to hold onto it for a little longer!
Thank you Andrea. I’m just hoping October lives up to ‘golden October’ as it’s been all rain so far !!
