Heavenly hedgerows

After the dramatic political events of the last few days here in the UK, a Sunday morning walk was very much needed to clear the head and get the day off on the right note. So off Boris and I ventured this morning on our favourite route, taking in the fresh air and enjoying the light drizzle of rain on our faces.

Although the cow parsley has pretty much gone now, there are still some beautiful colours on display.

From swathes of golden buttercups..

to pretty lilacs and purples

to creamy whites…

and  finally reaching my favourite.. these stunning crimson fuschcias with their  pretty confetti sprinkling the ground.

All in all, a lovely way to start the  morning. Nature is always a source of inspiration for me and I’ve come back feeling happier. I thought to myself – let’s follow the snail’s example – let’s keep calm and carry on the journey !
