These Terms & Conditions apply to photography services provided by Typewriter Girl (“I”, “me”, “my” or “Typewriter Girl”) to the person or business booking my services (“you” or “the client”).
By booking a photography session with Typewriter Girl, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking
To secure your booking, a 30% booking fee based on the total quote is required. Once this has been received, your date is officially reserved.
The booking fee is non-refundable, except where otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Payment
The remaining 70% balance is due before your final images are delivered. Once your balance has been paid in full, I’ll send over your finished gallery
I will provide details of how to make payment when your booking is confirmed.
Please note that final images will not be released until the full balance has been received.
All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and include the services specifically outlined in your proposal or booking confirmation.
Any additional services, images, products or expenses requested after booking may incur an additional charge.
3. Your Photography Session
Your session will be planned collaboratively, with the aim of creating images that reflect your brand, personality, work and story.
You are responsible for providing accurate information about your business, location, people involved and any other details needed to plan the session.
I will do my best to accommodate reasonable requests, but I cannot guarantee specific images, poses, backgrounds, weather conditions or other outcomes.
If your session takes place at a location that requires a fee, permit, travel expense or other charge, this will be discussed with you in advance and may be added to your invoice.
4. Rescheduling & Cancellation
I understand that plans sometimes change.
If you need to reschedule your photography session, please give me as much notice as possible and we’ll work together to agree a new date, subject to availability. Your booking fee will be carried over to the new date.
If you decide to cancel your photography session, the 30% booking fee is non-refundable, as it covers the time and preparation already invested in your project.
If I need to cancel or am unable to attend your session due to illness, emergency or circumstances outside my reasonable control, I will offer an alternative date wherever possible. If we cannot find a suitable alternative, I will refund any payment made for services that have not been provided.
5. Weather & Circumstances Outside Our Control
For outdoor sessions, weather may mean that we need to change plans.
If the weather makes the session impractical or unsafe, we can agree to reschedule or make alternative arrangements.
Neither of us will be responsible for failing to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, transport disruption, serious illness or other unforeseen events.
6. Image Delivery
Your final images will be delivered via We Transfer
The number of images included in your booking, the expected delivery timeframe and any other deliverables will be set out in your proposal or booking confirmation.
I carefully select and edit the final images from your session. I do not provide every photograph taken during a session, including unedited, rejected or duplicate images.
Editing is part of my creative process and images will be edited in my established Typewriter Girl style.
Please make sure you download and safely store your final images once they have been delivered. I cannot guarantee permanent storage of your gallery or images.
7. Copyright
Copyright in the photographs remains with Typewriter Girl at all times, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You are granted a non-exclusive licence to use the final images for your own business and marketing purposes, in accordance with the usage agreed as part of your booking.
You may use the images on your website, social media, printed marketing materials, press features and other promotional channels relating to your business.
You may not sell, license, transfer or substantially alter the images without my prior written permission.
Where practical, I ask that you credit Typewriter Girl when sharing your images online.
8. My Right to Use Your Images
Unless you tell me otherwise in writing before your session, you give Typewriter Girl permission to use images created during your session for my own portfolio, website, social media, marketing, competitions, publications and other promotional purposes.
I will always aim to use your images respectfully and in a way that represents your business appropriately.
If you would prefer your images to remain private, please let me know before your session. I am happy to discuss this with you.
9. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to photograph any people, private property, artwork, products or other material included in the session where such permission is required.
You are also responsible for the safety and behaviour of anyone attending the session on your behalf.
If you provide props, products, artwork or other items to be photographed, you remain responsible for them and for ensuring they are suitable and safe for use.
10. Creative Style
You have chosen Typewriter Girl because you like my visual style and approach.
While I will listen carefully to your brief and work collaboratively with you, you acknowledge that photography is a creative service and that the final images will reflect my professional judgement, artistic style and editing process.
I cannot guarantee that every image will match a specific reference image, trend or example from another photographer.
11. Privacy & Personal Information
I will only collect and use personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide my services, communicate with you, manage your booking and operate my business.
I will handle your information in accordance with applicable UK data protection and privacy laws.
12. Limitation of Liability
I will take reasonable care in providing my services and protecting your images.
However, in the unlikely event that images are lost, damaged or corrupted due to circumstances outside my reasonable control, my liability will be limited to the amount you have paid for the photography services affected.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your legal rights or excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited
13. Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The Terms & Conditions that apply to your booking will be those in place and provided to you at the time of booking, unless we subsequently agree otherwise in writing.
14. Agreement
By booking Typewriter Girl, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
If anything in these Terms & Conditions is unclear, please ask before booking and I will be happy to explain.
