Mrs Bloom|Flower farmer, Lisburn

Mrs Bloom

Mrs Bloom is a flower farmer based in Lisburn, growing beautiful seasonal flowers for bouquets and floral arrangements.

Ann wanted a fresh collection of photographs for her website and social media — images that would show not only the flowers she grows, but the care, creativity and process behind them.

From Polytunnel to Bouquet

We spent a lovely morning photographing the different stages of Ann’s work, beginning in the polytunnel on her allotment, surrounded by her beautiful ranunculus.

I photographed Ann picking the flowers, as well as the details of the growing space and the small touches that are part of her everyday work.

One of the photographs Ann particularly wanted was of her walking down the polytunnel with an armful of flowers over her shoulder. It was a simple moment, but one that captured something of the reality and joy of being a flower farmer.

Back at her studio, we continued the story as Ann arranged the flowers into a bouquet. I photographed the process alongside the finished bouquet, including details such as her gardening gloves, studio packaging and the things that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Creating a useful collection of images

The photographs were created for Mrs Bloom’s website and social media, giving Ann a varied collection of images to share her flowers, her process and the person behind the business. You can find out more about my brand photography offers here.

For me, the best brand photography isn’t just about photographing the finished product. It’s about noticing the small moments and details that make a business feel real – the hands at work, the places where things happen and the process behind what we eventually see.
